Artwork inspired by WW1 football match on display in Leamington
This painting by Bradford-based artist Bob Barker, that was inspired by the famous football game between German and British soldiers on Christmas Day 1914, is now on display at Castle Galleries in Regent Street, Leamington, to mark the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the war on August 4 1914.
Bob has said he was inspired to create the piece after finding out that his grandfather William Barker served in the conflict.
