Take a trip down a musical memory lane with reggae act
Homage to the well-known Trojan Records lable will be paid at a live show in Coventry on Saturday.
The Trojan Sound System, named after the lable, are bringing their reggae show to the Dog, which has borrowed a classical reggae dancehall system for the occasion, which will be supported by Riddim Master and DJ Taxman.
Under a new ownership, the pub’s promoter Kate Walters is keen for the venue in Hertford Street, which during the 70s and 80s played host to the crop of Two Tone acts - including The Specials, Dr Feel Good and Wilco Johnson - to return to its roots. Further acts of the genre will play at the pub throughout the year.
Tickets are available online or by calling 024 7501 4725.
