Lutterworth man charged in connection with sexual offences against children

A 64-year-old man from Lutterworth has been charged in connection with sexual offences against children.
John Gillatt, of Woodmarket, Lutterworth, has been charged with six counts of rape, five counts of sexual assault, one count of making indecent images of a child and one count of possession of extreme pornographic material.

Hide AdHe appeared at Coventry Magistrates Court today (Thursday, July 23) where he was remanded in custody to appear at Warwickshire Crown Court on August 20.
The charges come following an investigation by Warwickshire Police's Child Abuse, Trafficking and Exploitation (CATE) Team and relate to three victims in Leamington and Leicester between 2004 and 2020.
A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said: "Warwickshire Police will always investigate reports of sexual offences and have specially trained detectives who can speak to children or adults who are victims of a sexual crime.
