Three goals in the opening half put this match beyond the reach of Saints and leaves them languishing close to the foot of the Midland League Division One table, writes David Hucker.

Cadbury were buzzing after a 5-0 win at Bolehall Swifts the week before and a good cup result at the weekend and they went ahead in their very first attack after just four minutes.

Saints found themselves two goals down when the defence again failed to deal with a cross into the box and then captain Stuart Butcher gave keeper Tom Cross no chance with a low shot into the corner in the 36th minute to make it 3-0.

Manager Quentin Townsend made two substitutions at half-time with Pawel Tomczak brought into the attack and the returning Charlie Neale going to full-back, but it was Cadbury who scored again in the 71st to round off a night to forget for Saints.
