Kay leaves Leamington Hibs to join up with Long Buckby
Kay joined Long Buckby last week as assistant manager to Daniel Stewart, with Long Buckby sitting at the foot of the table having yet to register a win.
However, he says the opportunity to help bring about a revival in the fortunes of the Northamptonshire-based club was too good to turn down.

“Every player should better themselves when the opportunity presents itself and management is no different.
“I’m very ambitious but I can’t thank Hibs enough for giving me the opportunity to manage at a fantastic club with fantastic people, notably Jim and Joy Barry.
“A manager is only as good as his players buying into his ideas.

“It was a tough decision but one that come down to footballing reasons and ambition.”
Players Mike Yeates and Ashley Knight have joined Kay in making the switch to Station Road.
A Kay-less Hibs lost 5-0 to Division Three leaders Alcester in their Challenge Vase clash last Saturday.
