Yeates grabs late equaliser for Leamington Hibs

Adam Edwards was on target for Hibs in their 2-2 draw with Burntwood.

Leamington Hibs salvaged a point from a game ruined by a strong wind, with Andy Yeates’ 85th-minute goal earning them a 2-2 draw at home to Burntwood in the Midland Combination Division Two.

Hibs started brightly with a couple of shots on goal before Burntwood scored with their first attack, a tame shot finding its way into the corner.

The home side hit back with Adam Edwards rounding the keeper to slot home the equaliser and a dominant Hibs spurned an indirect free-kick inside the box, while Matty Trinder wastefully headed wide from six yards out.

Burntwood barely had an attack for the majority of the second half, with only two long punts forwards threatening the Hibs defence.
